This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Groupon Gift Shop for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
I grew up in a large family where we do a sibling gift exchange for Christmas. Because there are 6 of us, we don’t gift to everyone, but we rotate through so we gift to someone different each year. We generally do a couple’s gift since everyone (except for me now) is married. Most everyone is in a good place in their life, where they don’t want for a lot. This can make things a bit difficult when trying to come up with good gifts to give. Groupon has become one of my favorite places to shop for these couple’s gifts, and other family gifts, because of the ability to gift experiences!
I personally love trying and experiencing new things, because I believe when we die, all we take with us are our memories. So, when doing my holiday shopping for my brother and his wife, who live in Pennsylvania, I found a local outing that I think they will love. Thanks to Groupon local, I am sending them to a glass blowing class, for a date night out. Shh, don’t tell them!
Instead of just emailing my brother the printable certificate for the glass blowing class, I thought I’d print it out and sent it off with something tangible they can open on Christmas morning. A girlfrend of mine told me she has heard that beginners frequently make glass roses in their first class, so I thought a pretty vase would be fun to gift along with the certificate. I simply rolled up the voucher and stuck it in the vase, with a ribbon around it. Easy peasy, but shows some thoughtfulness. Perhaps this will even inspire my brother to give my sister-in-law the gift of more flowers throughout the year. Hint, Hint!
Stay tuned to see what other Groupon experiences I’m gifting this season!
