Pound Puppies

Okay all you over 30 readers – who owned a Pound Puppy back in the 80’s? Who still has their old well-loved Pound Puppy? I really would like to know if there are still some out there. My mom kept my brother’s for many many years and saved it for him. I hope he still has it kickin around.

Well guess what? Pound Puppies ARE BACK!!! Yessiree. Those favorite plush puppies are just waiting to be adopted this Holiday Season. The return of Pound Puppies from Funrise may just be the perfect fit for kid’s gifts, pop culture fans, throwback gifts or even stocking stuffers. Who doesn’t love getting a puppy for Christmas, especially those lovable Pound Puppies in need of rescuing.

And now Pound Puppies are even cuter than ever. Each puppy comes complete with its own breed specific fun fact card and a heart shaped dog tag. You just write your newly adopted puppy’s name on the tag and register it online to get your own printable adoption certificate.

Pound Puppies were uber popular in the 80’s and there are new ones waiting for just the right home. You can choose from Beagle, Labrador, Bulldog or Poodle and they come in 3 sizes just perfect for your needs – 12″ plush, 6″ plush, and a 3.5″ plush keychain – which is just waiting to wake up Christmas morning in someone’s stocking.

The great thing about Pound Puppies is you don’t need to fuss with house-breaking them!

So let me hear who still has their Pound Puppy from the 80’s and who is aching to go renew their love for those Pound Critters with the new selections available this Holiday Season.
And if you’re not familiar with Pound Puppies, you can catch the current TV episodes on The Hub Network. The episodes revolve around the group of Pound Puppies who spend most of their time at Shelter 17. Together with a group of squirrels recruited by Strudel, an incredibly smart Dachshund, they operate a secret and highly sophisticated underground facility beneath the pound, aimed at finding new owners for the puppies or even grown up dogs that come to their pound. They rely on their motto, “A pup for every person, and a person for every pup”.

For a little nostalgia, I am giving away a Pound Puppy to two different winners! Giveaway will end at 11:59pm PT on 12/31. To enter, fill out the form below.
