Fresh Fruit Salsa

Fruit Salsa

Living in Northern California there is an abundance of fresh produce. I feel blessed to be able to head to the store and purchase locally grown crops. When I’ve got to head to a grocery store to pick up said produce, my number one place to shop is Sprouts Farmers Market. These stores give the feel of a fancy health food store, but with very affordable groceries and vitamins. The produce is always super fresh and delish! Sprouts is an American chain of specialty grocery stores with over 150 locations across the United States. Sprouts stores are smaller than a typical supermarket, focusing on fresh foods, produce, healthy foods and vitamins/supplements. They even carry Walden Farms dressings, sauces and spreads, which is the only brand I use when I am dieting.

Fruit Salsa

As I have recently mentioned, I got married just one month ago tomorrow! The wedding was perfect and went off without a hitch. We served lunch after the ceremony, and thought a fresh Fruit Salsa would make for a classy side to go along with the pulled pork sandwiches. My mom whipped up a huge batch of salsa, which we served with cinnamon and sugar pita chips. We got raves from the guests, and it made a beautiful addition to the food table. Despite having a January/Winter wedding, the produce we found at Sprouts made for a delicious fruit salsa. I can see this salsa making an appearance at many summer shindigs, barbecues, luaus, and even holiday parties. I especially love the great pop of color it brings to the table, and plate.

When you head into Sprouts for all of that yummy fresh fruit, be sure to check out their health food aisles, bulk section, meat department, and more! They truly have so much to offer, and I love the open concept of each store. The ceilings are high, but each aisle is low enough that I can almost see over them. You really can get a good look across the store, which to me makes Sprouts feel like an indoor farmers market. If you haven’t been in, definitely go check it out!
