This blog post is part of a paid SocialMoms and RESCUE blogging program. All opinions expressed here are my own. To combat stressful days, here are my 5 ways to relieve stress.
Got Stress? Yeah, who doesn’t – unless you’re living under a rock or a cave, stress is here to stay. I’ve decided you can’t get rid of it, you just have to learn how to cope with it positively, and even laugh at those overly stressful moments or situations. And it’s no fair comparing your stress to your friend’s or family member’s.
We are all at maximum stress levels, no matter our situation. Judging isn’t fair. What is stressful to one person, may be a piece of cake to another. It’s also said that if we were to throw all our problems into a pile with everyone else’s woes, we’d end up choosing our own to deal with. So, your stress is yours, learn to own it, then deal with it.
The key is to find ways to manage and deal with your stress with as little damage to you and your family as possible. It might be good to assess what causes you stress, scrutinize how you deal with it, and decide if your method is healthy or damaging. And when I say scrutinize – try to be brutally honest with yourself. Yes, your strategy may get you through the toughest of times, but is there collateral damage? And if so, to whom? If it’s something you can reasonably change, then change it, if not, then find a healthy way to minimize it.
I find that dealing with stress in the most natural and healthy ways is the best option.
Here’s my top 5 ways to Relieve Stress:
1. Make a manageable list of the current stressors – then list out what can physically/mentally be done to alleviate/reduce the stress.
2. Make sure to get the appropriate amount of sleep.
3. Music – nothing gets me out an unbearable funk more than good music.
4. Take time to exercise. Currently, I’m taking Yoga classes and I find it liberating. Not only am I increasing my flexibility, taking time for me, but learning to relax and BREATHE!
5. Try RESCUE Stress Relief natural remedies.
I found out about Rescue a few years ago when I worked at a newly opened Natural Food Store in my community. These little wonders are all natural and they effectively help with relief from the occasional stresses in life. Check out their website to learn about Bach RESCUE remedies and you can give them a try by downloading the coupon and trying either the RESCUE Liquid Sleep Melts and/or RESCUE Pastilles. While RESCUE can’t remove the stressors in life, it can help take the edge off your tension and give you the strength to find healthy alternatives to coping with your stress.
You can , and enter to win the #StressLess sweeps. We all need a little help now and then getting through the rough spots. I’d love to hear your top 5 healthy strategies for coping. I’m thinking I should replace one of my 5 with Chocolate. It’s healthy – right?
