Dilemma Solved with Duncan Hines Perfect Size Cakes

Cake and I, we go way back. Just the thought of pairing strawberry cake and cream cheese frosting, yellow cake with chocolate frosting, and lemon on lemon, makes my mouth water. The only issue I have with cake is that oftentimes a 9×13 dish is more cake than I need. I’d love to say I have the utmost self control and I stop at one piece, but I’d be lying. Sure, I may let an hour or so pass before sneaking a second helping, but I just can’t resist the yumminess that I know is sitting in my kitchen. My solution to this dilemma is the Duncan Hines Perfect Size cake.

If I want to reward the kids for good grades, or exceptional behavior then I let them shop from my stash of Duncan Hines Perfect Size cake mixes and whip up a delicious cake for 2-4 people, in no time at all. I find these cakes to be just right for each of the kids to have one slice only, and the temptation for the kids to sneak seconds is taken away. Since I have four kids, there isn’t a piece of cake left for me. Under ordinary circumstances this might be a problem, but since I am trying to work on my weight, this is a perfect problem to have.

Then there are nights when the kids have gone to bed, but my love and I want a treat. Nobody wants a ton of dishes late at night, so the Perfect Size cakes fit this bill as well. Each Perfect Size cake comes with a cake mix, frosting mix (which is delicious and tastes more like homemade frosting than canned), and a disposable 6-inch round pan.
