As one of the biggest titles hits DVD and Blu-ray everywhere tomorrow, April 5th, I wish I could say I put together a killer Star Wars party to celebrate the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. If your kids or family (or yourself) are as big of fans as my kids are, then you will understand exactly why I didn’t have time to throw a themed party.
The moment my kids found out Star Wars: The Force Awakens was sitting in our presence, there was no time to waste. Who cares if we have errands to run or chores to do! Star Wars is sitting right in front of us, so we MUST be watching it! Sound familiar to anyone?
Luckily the new Blu-ray combo pack comes with a DVD and blu-ray so the kids have this all figured out. The DVD copy is for the car and the blu-ray is for the house. Like I said – we had errands to run. So the first third of the movie was spent being watched in the car. We’ve got a pretty nice system where the sound comes through the car speakers so we were all about to enjoy listening, but hubby and I agreed that it just didn’t seem right to watch this awesome movie all broken up and in bits and pieces. Or rather – listen to the movie this way. So, we opted to turn it off and make everyone patiently wait until we could all sit at home and watch it. It wasn’t long before we could make that happen.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a must-own movie for any Star Wars fan, and I know you’re out there! We all saw the movie in theaters, but to be able to watch it time and time again, and to check out all of the cool bonus features:
- Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey
