For my boys, soccer is life! On most days it feels like they eat, sleep and breathe soccer! For my twins, it’s a fun activity they can enjoy playing together. They love to play together at recess and are often called the “soccer kings” by the other kids at school.
When it comes to my oldest son, soccer means even more than that. He is shy in most areas of his life…except in soccer. On the field he is a rockstar! He is so good and the soccer field has always been one place where his confidence exudes. As he gets older that confidence is starting to spread to other areas of his life. As a mom, I can’t think of anything more rewarding than seeing your child gain the confidence he needs to believe that with a little hard work he can truly succeed in life.
The only downfall to having 3 boys in soccer is all of the gear we need! Between team shirts, shin guards, jerseys, socks, water bottles, cleats, new balls, bags and everything else they need, the costs can really add up! My boys are already dreaming about what pair of cleats they are going to add to their birthday “wish lists” this year. Add on the fees and costs to help our local youth soccer league stay afloat, and this sport can put a dent in our family budget quickly!
To aid in expenses when it comes to soccer, the Official Snacks of U.S. Soccer and Major League Soccer, the maker of OREO cookies, RITZ BITS crackers and CHIPS AHOY! cookies Multipacks, has announced the third year of the #PassTheLoveBack soccer program. The ‘Pass The Love Back’ program is designed to empower communities by sponsoring local youth soccer teams. Now through May 31st, parents of kids in local youth soccer teams can visit PassTheLove.com to earn up to $1,000 to be used towards custom T-shirts or a team donation. To enter, simply visit the website above and fill out a short form to get a sponsorship for your youth soccer team, today!
By passing the love, us parents can spend less time adding up the costs of letting our kids play, and more time doing what we do best… Cheering on our little soccer kings and watching their confidence soar!
