This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Nature’s Recipe®. The opinions and text are all mine. How and why we’re feeding our dog all natural dog food with Nature’s Recipe products. They’ve got several varieties to choose from!
As my kids get older and I keep taking on new businesses and lots of change, life just keeps getting busier. The husband and I have agreed that shopping at big box stores can really cut down our time on errands, which helps tremendously due to living in a fairly remote town. If we were to shop all specialty stores, I can’t even tell you how much driving we’d be doing because everything seems to be in opposite directions. For this reason, I’m so glad we can get a lot of our household shopping done at Walmart. I love being able to shop for the household, kids, and even the dog, all in one place.
Within our big Walmart shopping trips, I like to pick up our dog food – and I’m glad I can because we don’t get just any brand. Our dog has special dietary needs and I’m happy to report we can now feed our dog all-natural dog food with Nature’s Recipe, which is NOW being sold at Walmart! Nature’s Recipe makes purposeful recipes with ingredients from nature to provide exactly what your dog needs to feel like his most vibrant self, each and every day.
I grew up in a family of dog lovers and even dog breeders. We raised and bred dachshunds, and I’ve always loved having a pup to snuggle and love. I don’t recall ever needing to feed our dogs special food due to allergies or sensitivities, but that has changed. Our family dog now, a Dachshund/Yorkie mix (aka Dorkie), named Lucy, appears to have skin sensitivities, so I’ve had to do a little research.
After a little trial and error, I discovered Lucy has sensitivities to grain, which makes her skin dry and flaky. When we first got her, she was scratching all the time! Lucy was about 7 months old when we got her, so it was sad that the previous owner wasn’t taking care to help Lucy with her itching and dry skin. I was happy to see so many grain free options in the store, and also by Nature’s Recipe.
If you too need to feed your pup grain free, check out the Nature’s Recipe varieties:

I love that Nature’s Recipe has grain free options for puppies and adult dogs, and in wet and dry foods. You can count on better prices at Walmart than a specialty pet store, too! In addition to the grain free options, you can trust Nature’s Recipe to use high quality protein – none of that poultry by-product meal stuff! There are no artificial flavors or preservatives, and it doesn’t contain corn or wheat! If you’re already feeding your family high quality ingredients, then why not your pets?
It’s safe to say Lucy is a fan of the Nature’s Recipe Grain Free Chicken dry dog food. We finally had a sunny day, after lots and lots of rain here in Northern California, so Lucy and my oldest enjoyed sitting on the porch swing and watching the neighbors drive by.
