My kids absolutely live for summer! I love that our summers are a time to throw out routine, and just let the kids enjoy being kids. Our summer has been filled with family reunions, summer camps, swim lessons and fun outings with friends. When I think of all the people who have helped make these adventures possible for my kids, I am filled with so much gratitude. Show appreciation to those around you, with the gift of cake: a sweet thank you for a sweet summer!
I wanted a cute way to show appreciation to all of the people who’ve worked to make our summer amazing, and that’s when I heard about Boston Coffee Cake! I’ve always loved coffee cake and knew these would make fun thank you gifts because they are all absolutely delicious and come in fun, unique flavors. Boston Coffee Cake has been the recipient of various gold medals for the best coffee cake in America, and my friends and family deserve the best.
The cakes come in different sizes and prices to fit any occasion and budget (I’ve got a code below to sweeten the deal even more). Each cake also comes beautifully packaged and ready to give, which gave me some extra time to get a little creative with printable gift tags.
These little gift tags can be printed and added to each cake. They made the whole gift beautiful, thoughtful and as easy as… ummm… cake, to give! You can print high resolution images of the printable tags, by clicking on the titles below.
Here are just a few examples of some of the amazing people in my kids’ lives, this summer:
CubScout camp counselor – She had to go into work everyday at 4 am in order to be able to take time off to volunteer at camp. That’s some serious dedication to be with a group of 10 year old boys, out in the 100° heat.
Swim teacher – They have gone the extra mile to show extra patience and care to help my kids feel confident in the water (a task that we have attempted for 3 years in a row). My son initially told me that making him take swim lessons was “ruining his summer”. Then after the first lesson he said it’s “actually pretty fun”! The right teacher made all the difference!
Family – My mom worked so hard to organize a big family reunion trip. Organizing food, lodging and activities for a group as large as ours is no easy task! However, it’s always the highlight of my kids’ summer and a time when they make memories that will last a lifetime.
Friends – We have had amazing invites from various friends this summer, to join them for park days, bowling trips, library visits, outings, and even to let us come over to swim in their pool. These acts of friendship and kindness have all played a part in us having a wonderful summer.
