Back-to-school is upon us and we officially start school next week! With much to do to prepare, I thought I’d get a start on the back to school fashion first. That’s the most fun part of all the back to school preparations anyway, right? In past years, my boys haven’t cared much about picking out their new clothes, but this year was different. I gave each of my kids a budget to pick out their favorite back to school fashion from Kohl’s, and they were ecstatic to get shopping.
Clothing and fashion is how kids express themselves and their own style, so it was fun to sit at the computer and assist my kids in their online shopping at Kohls.com. Even more fun was the fashion shoot we did once everything arrived! Shopping together was great bonding time, and it gave me a chance to really understand the likes and dislikes of each of my kiddos’. I can definitely say my littles will feel confident on the 1st day of school, in their new digs.
Now onto the outfits each of my kids picked out:
My oldest is officially a teenager and because of his December birthday, he’s going into the 8th grade. Kelman is my one child that I don’t dare shop for without him. He’s more particular and will only wear what he really wants to wear. Here he’s picked out some comfortable Men’s Hollywood Jeans Interlock Jogger Pants and a Superman Logo Tee.
Because logo tees are just 2/$20, Kelman also snagged this California Republic Tee.
Logo tees are where it’s at, so along with this Jurassic Park tee, Kelman snagged these Men’s Ocean Current Field Shorts. They were a great price too!
My boys have always played soccer, but in 7th grade, Kelman made the school basketball team and discovered he loves it. He’s always playing basketball at recess, and now he can do it in style with these Men’s Nike Predator Dri-FIT Shorts and matching Nike Dry Core Tee.
The twins (Carter and Brechin) would wear athletic wear every day if I let them. They’re very sporty guys and were excited about the Nike selections at Kohls.com.
Because these guys like matching these days (which is funny because I didn’t raise them in matching clothes), they each picked out the Boys 8-20 Nike Legacy Training Tee and Shorts.
My boys love joggers, so they Carter picked out these Boys 8-20 Urban Pipeline® Cargo Jogger Pants and paired it with a Nike Dry Polo, for a great first day of school look.
I’m not sure if the twins realized it or not, but they actually picked out different joggers. Here, Brechin picked the Boys 8-20 Urban Pipeline® Stretch Twill Jogger Pants, for a comfortable feel.
Oh how I love shopping for the little girl! Bea loves fashion, and we both adore this leggings material dress, that is oh so soft! This Four Threads Faux Lace-Up Swing Dress will make the perfect first day of school outfit, and the price makes it even better!
There are several prints and patterns to choose from with this Girls 7-16 SO® Short Sleeve Curve Hem Tee. This give girls the chance to pick a tee that fits their taste and style.
We love how comfy these SO® Metallic Ribbed Waist Bermuda Shorts are, and can’t get over the cuteness!
Bea is showing off her sporty look with these SO® Contrast Side Stripe & Cuff Leggings and matching SO® Open Shoulder High-Low Split Hem Graphic tee.
In all of our perusing, Bea and I discovered a couple of different girls tops that come with an included necklace, which made Miss Bea super excited! I love how darling this Self Esteem Patterned Cold Shoulder Top with Necklace is.
We just had to grab this other top with included necklace: IZ Amy Byer Ruffle Stripe Top with Heart Necklace, for a slightly more dressy look.
