Making Life Easier with Amazon Echo Show

I’m all about simplifying life as much as possible, because we’re already so busy as it is. If there’s a gadget or tool that can make dinner faster, I’m buying it! If there’s a trick to getting kids to listen without nagging, I’m testing it! If there’s a piece of technology that can streamline a lot that goes on in the household, then it’s definitely worth a gander. With the help of the good folks at Best Buy, I’ve been able to make life easier with the Amazon Echo Show!

We’ve all seen the commercials of people asking Alexa to show them things, and it looked cool, but it wasn’t until recently that I saw the true value in this technology! The Amazon Echo Show combines all of the great benefits of the Amazon Echo, but with video and photography!

Ask questions and see the answers with the Echo Show, which connects to Alexa for an immersive search experience. I enjoy asking Alexa to find me recipes, and then to display them while I’m cooking in the kitchen. Then I have Alexa connect to Amazon Music and play a fun cooking playlist, while I do the cooking!

You can ask Alexa to monitor the rooms of your home and to check in on those you love. Or maybe you just want to see what the animals are doing when you’re away! Have Alexa pull up your calendar, or sync it to your family’s phones, and send messages back and forth. The 7″ touchscreen provides a lot of flexibility, especially when the Echo Show connects with a range of services, including YouTube, Audible, Pandora, Amazon Music, and more. Lyrics are also brought up with your favorite music, so you can sing along.

If the kids are doing homework, and need a little help with research on their paper, they can ask Alexa for help. She’s full of knowledge and information, and it’s always expanding. If you run a smart home, you can Ask Alexa to turn on your lights, show security cameras, control your thermostat, garage door, sprinklers and more. Voice recognition has only improved with the Echo Show, as you can be standing farther away and in different directions – even while music is playing. Did I mention the sound is pretty incredible? Get the music going and you’ll have everyone dancing!
