It’s September! It’s September!!! I’m hoping this means the weather will start to cool down and a fall breeze will hit the air. To me, September stands for one thing – apple season! Since school starts near the beginning of August these days (it was September when I was a kid), then that leaves the month of September for apple-picking. I prefer to wait until it’s not so hot out, but I like to take my family to Apple Hill every year. It’s a little higher up in elevation and it’s an area of tons and tons of apple farms. If you go on the weekend then there’s live music, barbecuing and all kinds of activities for the family, but I like to go during the week when it’s not so busy. We taste a variety of apples, drink fresh cider, and get our share of yummy baked treats. To get you excited for apple-picking season, we’re featuring some yummy looking apple recipes this week!
