I have always wanted to visit Myrtle Beach and see what all the fuss was about. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I know it’s a very touristy town, but since our visit was in the beginning of October, we lucked out with excellent temps and low crowds. We also got to experience an oceanfront stay at Sea Watch Resort in Myrtle Beach!
Waking up to the sound of the ocean and with views like this could never get old. Keith and I got to experience Myrtle Beach without the kids and every time I stepped out onto our balcony to behold the beach, pond and swimming pools on the property, I couldn’t help but think of how much the kids would love to visit! The Sea Watch Resort is excellent for couples, and I just know my kids would love this place as well!
Between the couple of pools, several hot tubs and the lazy river on property, and the sand and ocean just past the gate, this is every water bug’s dream. I loved walking on the beach with my man and collecting seashells, and we couldn’t pass up a soak in the hot tub too.
While the resort is not all inclusive, you don’t ever have to leave the resort should you choose not to, because there is an on-site restaurant, plus ice cream and coffee shop. The perks of visiting in the fall are the crowds are minimal, but we discovered the hard way the restaurant hours are cut way back. So just be sure to get the restaurant and shop hours upon check-in, so you can plan accordingly. The bright side is the food is pretty good, and they even have a breakfast buffet with omelet station.
Our room had a kitchen so we could do our own cooking (which we would have if we’d stayed longer), a separate living room with pullout couch, and a bedroom with a bed and second tv. Outside the living room was our balcony with pool and ocean view. We had everything we needed, the bed was plenty comfortable (which you all know is super important to me), and we were in heaven. Myrtle Beach was just the stop we needed for some R&R, and the Sea Watch Resort didn’t disappoint.
