Thank you to Verizon Wireless for sponsoring this post.
I’ve been a Verizon customer for as long as I can remember. We have tried some other providers, but with where we live, we prefer to stick with Verizon. As I’ve been on the hunt to upgrade my phone I’ve pondered the benefits of switching to Verizon 5G. My teenagers’ phones really don’t work very well so if I upgrade my phone then they get my hand-me-down, which is in great shape. Since this benefits everyone, the kids have been educating me a bit on 5G so I can decide if it’s the next move for me with my phone purchase. Let’s learn together shall we?
The Benefits of Switching to 5G on Verizon
First, what is 5G?
Did you know the G stands for Generation? 5G is the fifth generation of wireless technology. 1G is considered to be the first analog cell phones. How did I not know this? Back then it was a big deal just to be able to talk to people from your car. I remember my parent’s first “car phone”, which had its own bag that stayed in the car. With 5G, consumers should get access to one of the fastest, most robust technologies the world has ever seen.
Who is 5G for?
Verizon 5G is for both businesses and consumers. Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network will support business innovations with ultra-fast speeds with ultra-low lag time. If your business has machines that will need to be online then these higher speeds and technology could be a nice upgrade. There is a lot more information on how 5G could be right for your business. Low latency, high data volume and faster service deployment to name a few perks.
Where is 5G on Verizon being offered?
Verizon continues to expand its 5G coverage so all I can say is head over and see if 5G is available in your city yet. Verizon has launched 5G Ultra Wideband in parts of over 30 cities to date.
Are you convinced yet that 5G is right for you? In all my convincing I think I’ve decided what I need to do with my next phone. Verizon 5G, I’m coming for you!
