Tips for Building A Tribe with the Help of My First Psychic Reading

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of California Psychics. Ever feel alone or like you don’t have a tribe you can call your own? I’m sharing tips for building a tribe with the help of my first psychic reading from California Psychics.

We’re Not Meant To Be Alone

Tips for Building a Tribe

The past year has made most of us feel very isolated and alone, but we don’t have to stay that way. We’re not meant to be alone, and I truly believe we all deserve to have a tribe to support us, laugh with us and encourage us in our dreams. I want all of that and I want to be that for others.

Some of you may be surprised to learn that girlfriends don’t come easy for me. In fact, I’ve spent much of my life looking and trying to build better friendships, but always seeming to fall short of where I want to be. I decided to make good use of my partnership with California Psychics by using my first psychic reading to discuss how to make better friends – tips for building a tribe!

Getting Help

It’s not easy getting vulnerable with a stranger, but the topic of friendship is important to me,so I went there with my psychic advisor, Burke, and I’m so glad I did. While I have a great marriage and my husband is my best friend, I absolutely need girlfriends in my life.

Sometimes I get discouraged and feel like I’m just not meant to have friends outside of my marriage. It’s a lie though – I love being a friend and crave female companionship. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve asked my husband what is wrong with me? What do I do that turns women off from wanting to be my friend? Why am I not getting invited to all of the things other women get invited to?

Contemplating in nature

I think this is partially a problem with social media because it’s put in our faces every time people get together and it becomes evident that we weren’t invited. I tell my husband I genuinely want to know what’s wrong with me and being the good man he is, he tells me he doesn’t understand it and that there is absolutely nothing wrong with me. But then I’m left baffled and discouraged once again, because something clearly isn’t working. I took my worries and insecurities to my chat with a psychic, and talking about this openly gave me somuch hope.

My First Psychic Reading

My first psychic reading

Being my first ever psychic reading, I didn’t have a lot of expectations, but I chose to go into it open-minded and honest. Psychic Burke sensed this within me and I believe it helped her to have a good and honest read of me, my desires and my willingness to stretch myself. I was nervous going into the phone call, but Burke quickly put me at ease with her calming and positive demeanor. I felt like I was chatting with a girlfriend, which may be funny to say since that’s why I called in the first place! As a bonus, it was reassuring to have someone tell me there’s nothing wrong with me, or nothing about my personality that repels others.

Psychic Burke did more than that though -she was able to sense things that are in store for me and I absolutely cannot wait to see if they come to fruition. My psychic advisor told me I have some big things in store for me this summer -especially in the way of friendships and building my tribe. I’ve got to do my part though, so I’m sharing the tips here so you can hold me accountable and check in on how things are going.

By calling California Psychics I received tips for building a tribe and if they’re good for me, maybe they’ll help you too

Tips for Building a Tribe

1. Create a treasure map, or list of things you want to obtain.

This is basic goal setting 101, but if it works with goals why can’t it work with building a tribe? My psychic advisor encouraged me to do this, but also to meditate and get out in nature (which I already love to do). Hey, maybe out in nature is where I’ll find my tribe – you never know.

2. Put yourself out there and into new situations. Burke encouraged me to get away without my kids and hubs, and if I do, I’m bound to findlike-minded people who are also looking to build their tribe. It can be challenging to build a tribe when your other half or your kids are tugging at your attention. My psychic advisor saw me attending a retreat or conference this summer -something metaphysical and possibly in nature. She thought perhaps a yoga retreat or something similar where people come together to get clarity and/or heal. It may be entirely different for you!

3. Serve others in new and meaningful ways. Stretch yourself and find different ways to help others and you may make a friend in the process. Perhaps you’ll find yourself serving alongside others who may make up your tribe, or maybe you end up serving someone who is meant tobea new (or closer) friend.

4. Be vulnerable with others.
This may be tough for some of us, but in my instance, Psychic Burke thought I was meant to write about this struggle. She thought that if I share my struggle with finding a tribe or having close girlfriends that I would find others who can relate. Maybe I can reach someone who is in a similar boat and just maybe I will find my people by sharing this commonality! I think I’ve gotten pretty good at hiding my insecurities (haven’t we all?), but by doing so I just may have closed myself off from something new and worthwhile.

5. Look for others who want to give a friendship (or tribe) the same amount of attention and time you desire to put in.
This can be tricky and where I often seem to lose it because most of the women in my life are busy moms and just may not be in the same season I am. I’ve found myself with more time to give to a tribe of women now that my kids are teenagers and almost out of high school. Psychic Burke helped me realize that my biggest issue isn’t something that’s wrong with me, but that I’m obviously trying with people who don’t have the time or energy for what I need/want. Try not to take offense if it doesn’t work with one person or another. There are people out there who want to be a part of your tribe and they’re waiting for you to find them!

Why Trust California Psychics?

As with all things, you can’t really know if it’s worthwhile until you try it. I can honestly say I came away from my psychic reading uplifted, optimistic and hopeful. My psychic advisor built me up and instilled confidence in me to put myself out there and try new things that will make my life more meaningful and fulfilled. After my phone session I was inspired to do some head clearing the way I always do, which is either through music or nature. It was like a great therapy session, but I honestly felt she was very in tune with me. If you get an advisor you don’t feel a connection with, you can always hang upand try someone different!California Psychics has a ton of options and their customer service team can even help you find your perfect pick.

Psychic Burke used a couple of examples regarding putting desires into the universe, such as wanting a new couch or new car, without “knowing” I just got both within the last 2 weeks! There were a couple of interesting things Burke said that gave us both chills, because it was like she knew things without really knowing.

I’m eager to put some of my psychic advisor’s suggestions into practice and see what comes of it. I feel very hopeful that my tribe is out there and that I will have that sisterhood I’ve so desired. Whether you have questions regarding love and relationships, work and career or life in general, California Psychics has psychic advisors with all different specialties and strengths. The way I look at it is there is a multitude of people just a phone call away who are gifted and attuned to others’ needs, gifts and desires.

Bonus – when my psychic advisor found out my house is for sale, she suggested I bury a St. Joseph in my yard, to help with the sale of my home. I’d heard of this working before, but forgot all about it! I ordered one right away and he’s now buried upside down near my for sale sign. Fingers crossed it works!

  • Loved your article about the psychic. I was also surprised that you didn’t think you have enough girlfriends. You are one of the friendliest ladies I know! (But I know how that feels). You helped me see that I need to put myself out there more. Somewhere along the line, I became a hermit.
