    We don’t know if we will see my son for the holidays – he may be working to relieve the “you family guys” so that they can be home with their kids. But we do know we won’t see my sister and her kids for the holidays – they are about 7 hours away – but if we get some “white stuff” we may want to move south for the holidays.

    Both of our families are far away. We have adopted a holiday habit of reaching out and phoning instead of just sending a card. Forget the expense, we don’t have the time to travel to all the states and countries that our families have spread to. Cards are great, but it can’t compare to even a 5 minute phonecall.

    Our extended family in New York and Pennsylvania. We had had several tough deaths in the last two years so we are trying to keep everyone together as much as possible.

    I am desperately going to miss all 3 of my children this Christmas. My oldest will be in Las Vagas, my daughter will be in Nashville and my son will be at Johns Hopkins Hospital with his very ill 2 year old daughter. Don’t know if I’ll be able to stand the silence around here but like everyone always says enjoy your kids while they’re young because before you know it they grow up and start lives of the own…SO TRUE!!!!!!!
