I recently shared with you all, my experience at the red carpet premiere of Disneynature’s “chimpanzee”. Because I flew out to Florida from California, for the premiere, I needed a place to stay for my lengthy trip. The bloggers of the trip were put up in 3 beautiful vacation homes in Windsor Hills of Kissimmee, provided by Global Resort Homes. Global Resort Homes has several different communities surrounding the gates of Disney World. I don’t think we could have planned a better set up, had we tried. Because there were 22 of us in total, we didn’t all fit in one house, but we were lucky enough to have three homes that were all right next to each other.
The night we all arrived, we gathered at what we called “the main house”, for a lovely meal of homemade lasagna, salad and chocolate chip cannolli filling. Mmm! Cooking for us that night was the amazing Chef Linda, from A Chef Of Your Own. Not only did she cook us a fabulous dinner, but she prepared some breakfast casseroles, which were to be ready for us for breakfast the next morning. Because my flight was delayed, I arrived late the house and didn’t get to meet Chef Linda, but they all saved me some grub!
When everyone was tired and had their fill for the day, we separated into our different homes. I had 6 other bloggers staying in the same house as me, and I even shared a room with Mary, from Couponers United. We often room together for different events and conferences, which is always tons of fun! I absolutely loved that instead of having each blogger in a different hotel room, disconnected from one another, we were able to gather around the dining room table and visit, and work on our laptops. It was quite the sight, but it was wonderful!
Each home had a private pool and hot tub, which was a nice way to relax at the end of the day. I believe every hot tub got it’s use each night that we were in Florida for the premiere, and other events. I know I took my turn at it! The Global Resorts Home that I stayed and slept in was absolutely beautiful, and decorated with some of the nicest furniture and decor – It really was a nice home away from home. The garage was complete with washer and dryer, but also a pool table and foosball table. Next time I visit, I will definitely be getting more use of those two things, since we didn’t have quite enough downtime for that; this trip.
Global Resort Homes are really the ideal place to stay when planning a trip to Orlando or Kissimmee, Florida. If you are planning to spend your days at Walt Disney World and other attractions, it is nice to have a home to go to for a nap, rest, meals, and pool time. Each home has a complete kitchen, which is nice for you to have some home cooked meals, rather than eating out for every meal. Our home had granite countertops and stainless steal appliances. That is HUGE for me because as much as I love to eat out, I can only do it for so long. Another huge bonus of staying in a nice vacation home, is that you can put the kids to bed and stay up and watch tv, talk, swim and just hang out, without having to worry about keeping the kids away, like in a hotel room. Global Resort Homes gets my full recommendation, and I hope to stay there again! You can follow Global Resort Homes on facebook for the latest news and happenings.
Walt Disney Pictures, Global Resort Homes and Kissimmee CVB provided me with an all-expense paid trip to Kissimmee, Florida, for the purpose of the “chimpanzee” red carpet premiere.

I refuse to stay in a typical hotel room for more than a night if I’m traveling with my family. Let’s just say there are a few people who snore too loud and need to be in their own rooms. This looks like the perfect place to have fun and get some shut eye! 😉
