As most of you know, I have been unhappy about my weight and health for the past year. In this post, I want to talk about my decision to start Nutrisystem. Losing weight has never come easy for me. After each of my pregnancies, I have dieted and gotten myself on a regular exercise regimen. Not without a lot of hard work, dedication, and motivation, I have had success. Living apart from my husband, who has been away at school during the weeks, has made life more of a challenge. I have gained nearly 30 pounds in the past year. đ Being a part-time single parent makes it difficult to get a regular exercise regimen. Sometimes it is all I can do to make it through the day with all of my hair still attached to my head. I have turned to food in these times of stress and sometimes turmoil. Exercise has also been pushed way down on the list of priorities.
As I watch my waist line grow bigger, my dining out budget expand, and my treadmill get dustier, I realize that my husband has nearly a year left of school. At the rate I am going, local fast food restaurants are going to know me my name and my family will be posting âDO NOT FEED THIS WOMANâ signs everywhere. I need to make a change because I canât continue on this path to The Biggest Loser show.
As much as I like to indulge in those late night sweet treats, I want, No – NEED, to get my life back. The desire for yummy food has taken a front seat in my life and my health has taken a back seat. As a very busy mom, with a lot of stress and weight on my shoulders, I have lacked the motivation to get my rear in gear. I was recently approached by friends, about Nutrisystem. I have some blogger friends who have had a lot of success with the Nurtisystem program. After doing some research and finding that Nutrisystem has a fairly strict meal plan, with all meals included, I decided that Nutrisystem might be just what I need to get it all together. The idea of having every meal laid out for me, so I donât have to question what I can or canât eat, is very appealing to me.
I decided to bite the bullet and sign up with Nutisystem. I am hoping that this type of program will be easy enough to follow in the midst of my hectic life. Nutrisystem also has an on-line support system that I can take advantage of. I am excited to start my new adventure to becoming a healthier me. I even went out running one day this week. Go me! I hope you will all follow along my weight loss journey, as I blog about my progress each week. I also hope you will take this opportunity to think about becoming a healthier you and sharing your progress and milestones with me. Letâs help build one another up and get healthy together.
I am going to be really brave here and share my weight and stats each week, so you can actually see my progress. I don’t have my starting measurements yet, but I will update this post when I get a chance to do them.
Starting weight: 173.8

Good for you! My journey with getting my life on track physically began almost 2 years ago. It was hard at times to say no to some of my favorite things, but I can honestly say it was the best decision ever. I look forward to following you along your journey. You CAN do this!

Good luck & congratulations on starting this journey. I started a similar journey using a relatively new supplement that is truly as they state “will power in a bottle.” I can still eat real food & haven’t followed the rules fully & never did my week of kick start, but in 5 weeks, I’m down 9 lbs and a over 12 inches all over, so I’m pumped. I just finally got my 2nd bottle so am trying to do better this month. Good luck! I know that I couldn’t do the pre-made meals because of how I work & some major things that I don’t eat, so I figured I’ll try this and see.
