Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax DVD Review
The Lorax is one movie you’ll for sure want to add to your home movie collection. We loved it in the theater, and we’re loving it at home. The hilarous and captivating adventure, Dr Seuss’ The Lorax transports viewers into a fantastical landscape imagined my Dr. Seuss. The 1971 children’s classic is brought to life in film and takes us on an imaginative journey to Thneedville, where a boy (Zac Efron) searches for the one thing he knows will win the heart of his dream girl (Taylor Swift). But in order to find it, he must discover the story of the Lorax, the often grumpy (Danny Devito) but loveable protector of the Truffula Valley. USA Today movie reviewer, Claudia Puig, calls it “The right blend of funny, silly and sweet.” I appreciated the timely message of how we must all be protectors of our environment, and not abuse what’s beautifully ours in nature.
The Blu-Ray 3D Combo pack comes loaded with all your DVD options, as well and several fun bonus features including: 3 mini features – Serenade, Wagon Ho and Forces of Nature. There’s also a Blu-Ray bonus feature game Get Out of Town.
We’ve already watched our DVD a couple of times! I know this will be one of our family favorites. My kids all gave it their 2 thumbs up review.
You can also pre-order The Lorax on DVD for just $16.99!
Universal Studios Home Entertainment provided me with the DVD Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax to facilitate my review.

My youngest was visiting her grandmother when my son and I went to see the Lorax in theaters, so when I heard on of my coworkers say that it was out on DVD I thought I would surprise her. We just got it from Blockbuster at Home last night and she loved it! I have never seen her sit still that long. I have read the Lorax since I was a kid, so knew what to expect, but the three short films at the end were fun. I usually rent movies before I buy them, just to make sure the kids are actually going to watch them, again and this has made it to the keeper list.
