SKIL iXO Palm-Sized Screwdriver in Pink for “Tools for the Cure” – GIVEAWAY

by Emily Buys 109 Comments

Do you have a set of girl tools you keep in a junk/tool/catch-all drawer in your house, or do you have to go rummage in the garage through the greasy man stuff to find the right tool? Someone gave me a set of my own tools at my bridal shower – many moons ago. It consisted of a small hammer, screwdriver and pliers. I’ve loved having my own tools and I always know right where they are. I thought it was such a great idea, that I’ve repeated giving that kind of gift when the occasion arises. A few times, I’ve even found some fun flowery print tools, and keep a supply on hand for future gift giving. I’ve often wished I had my own power drill, rather than have to use my husband’s hefty drill.

Well, This year, SKIL Power Tools has joined the fight against breast cancer by partnering with Susan G. Komen to launch their โ€œTools for the Cureโ€ campaign. Ten percent of the unit price of every pink iXO sold between August 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012 will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cureยฎ, providing a minimum donation of $100,000 to the organization.
You can go to www.SKILiXO.com and learn all about SKIL tools and view a short video to see this handy little cordless power drill in action.

Light weight and versatile, the SKIL iXO cordless screwdriver is the one tool you’ll never want to be without, whether you’re changing batteries in a toy, installing blinds, or hanging pictures.
The palm-sized pink SKIL iXO Power Screwdriver features:
Lithium-ion battery which holds a charge up to 18 months.
Battery fuel gauge that shows battery life.
SiteLight LED worklight for better visibility.
Forward/Reverse Indicators which shows drilling direction.
Multiple drill bits included for different uses.

The size is perfect to fit in your hand, and no matter how tough the job, you’ll feel your feminine lady power take charge with the pink color! I think the Pink SKIL power drill is a perfect gift for Christmas, a Bridal Shower, or for any special woman in your life.

One lucky reader will receive a pink SKIL iXO Palm-Sized Screwdriver kit complete with a 4V max palm-sized cordless screwdriver, right angle attachment for hard-to-reach places, five piece bit set, charger and pink carrying bag. The pink iXO comes with all the great features of the original iXO Cordless Screwdriver, but with the benefit of helping to support a great cause.
October is breast cancer awareness month, so show your support by getting on board with SKIL and the “Tools for the Cure” campaign, and order your Pink Power Drill today!

This giveaway will end at 12:01am ET, on 10/25. To enter, fill out the rafflecopter below.

I LOVE it!!! My husband has his own big manly power drill; but I want something for me! And this is SO my style! Plus I love that it’s pink and they support Breast Cancer awareness.

I’m not a fan of turning everything pink “for the cure”. I do think that every adult (regardless of gender), should have and know how to use basic tools and power tools.

I love when companies support a cause, and I agree with everyone should have basic tools and know how to use them.

  5. Elizabeth Towns says

    October 19, 2012 at 12:19 PM

I can understand that kallie – not everything. But I do love pink tools. That keeps anybody from ‘borrowing’ my tools and the claiming them as there own. That happened to me – as a divorced mom I make sure I have the tools I need to do odd jobs around my house and that makes the men in my family think they can ‘borrow’ them and then just keep them because what do I need with those kind of tools? Yeah, I think I am gonna get pink ones. Lemme see ’em keep those! Woo hoo!

Nooooo, with this Mr. Determined might have an excuse to ask me to fix something! ๐Ÿ˜›

I think all women need their own special colored tools. Atleast it might keep the men from borrowing them.

Absolutley. Because they don’t always know how to put them away!

  12. beth m says

I think that women should get their own tools if their husband doesn’t want to share his or if she is single and wants her own; it’s up to her.

  28. Amber Edwards says

    October 19, 2012 at 3:26 PM

I think husband and wife can Share tools, but it’s always more fun to have my own set, so I always know where they are. My husbands tools are never in the same place twice…I need my own so I can actually use them when I need them. ๐Ÿ™‚

  29. Heather Thiel says

    October 19, 2012 at 3:28 PM

I think that both men and woman should know how to use tools. It doesn’t matter to me if we have our own set of tools. I share everything with my husband, and he wouldn’t care if the drill was pink or neon green!

  30. Patricia Mohl says

    October 19, 2012 at 3:33 PM

I think having our own would encourage us more. That way we don’t feel like we would damage anyone tools because they belong to us only.

I think that it’s nice to have “me size” power tools and I wouldn’t really care what color they are as long as they are powerful enough to do the job.. I feel like almost everything in the month of October is pink these days and it is starting to get to me.

  36. Sandy VanHoey says

I don’t know about all women having their own tools, but I would love to have my own tools. Hubby always says I take “his stuff” and that I don’t put it back where “it belongs” and he can’t find it when he needs it LOL. I always put stuff back where I found it… its usually HIM that leaves it somewhere and doesn’t remember where he put it lol. So I’d love my own tools and tell him that he can’t touch them ๐Ÿ˜‰

I definitely think women should have their own tools. I used to have my own toolbox and tools. My husband is notorious for never putting his stuff away. He has taken over my toolbox and leaves those tools all over the place too. I should win the pink skil cordless screwdriver because maybe the colour would make him leave it alone! I have hidden my dremel from him so he can’t leave it out some where.
Thanks for the chance to win!
