For the past year, I have heard so much about Scentsy, and have been invited to so many Scentsy parties. I haven’t had a lot of excess funds, with hubby in school, so I never attended the parties. I didn’t want to feel obligated to buy something, and I couldn’t understand how Scentsy products could really be that much better than the other warmers and scents out there. Then came along a reader, Amber Rose, who happened to be a Scentsy Consultant. As I was compiling my Holiday Gift Guide, she reached out to me regarding participation in the guide. I thought, hey, why not see what all the hype is about.

While doing my ordering, I was a little confused at first. I knew what a warmer was, but I had no clue what a Scentsy Bar was. I asked around and learned that the Scentsy Bars are the fragrances, which come in a wax-like bar. The bar is semi-divided into smaller pieces, so you can break off those smaller pieces for usage. This helps make the scents last longer. I just had to know what makes the Scentsy Warmers different from other candles. Here is what I learned:

The type of wax used allows Scentsy Bars to hold more fragrance oils, resulting in a better fragrance “throw.” The amount of fragrance load for Scentsy wickless candles is about 15% oil compared with 5% for regular wicked candles. Additionally, Scentsy Bars are safer than wicked candles because no flame is required for the wax to melt or to release the fragrance. You’ll just have to put the wax in an elegant tart/wax burners which are perfectly made to hold a tealight and produce a beautiful fragrance environment, making them a lovely addition to your home!

Once I learned all of this, I was even more intrigued. I mean, who doesn’t want an excellent smelling house – especially during the holidays? I decided to start shopping for a warmer. I selected the Roma Full-Size Scentsy Warmer, for my first ever Scentsy warmer. I thought the style and color would go well in my kitchen, and it really does. Because I love Fall and Winter, and the scents and fragrances that accompany the season, I decided to order the Autumn Sunset and Christmas Cottage Scentsy Bars.

Lastly, I wanted to try something from the new Scentsy line, “Layers by Scentsy”. I think this concept is so cool! Scentsy Personal Care is made so you can build an entire fragrance wardrobe, layer by layer. If you like a scent, why not get it in everything you use? You can order bath tablets, shower gel, body lotion, body spray, washer whiffs, hand soap, and more – all in the same fragrance! Hence the name “Layers”. I thought I’d start with one product, to see how I like it before ordering more. I received the Awakening Layers Body Lotion. I absolutely love how the Scentsy body lotion feels on my hands! The scent is slightly more floral than I am used to getting, but I really don’t mind it. It really is a great lotion!

When my warmer and bars arrived, I was so excited to give them a try. The warmer was a tad smaller than I imagined, but any bigger is just not necessary. The purpose after all, is to get your house smelling great, with something homey. Because Christmas is going to be upon us before we know it, I decided to try a piece of the Autumn Sunset Bar first. My house smells HEAVENLY! I have always wanted to have one of those homes where when people come over, they comment on how the house smells so good. This happens when I bake, but not ordinarily any other time. Guess what? After about an hour of running my Scentsy, someone came over and commented how good my house smelled! Mission accomplished!! I am in love, and forever sold on Scentsy!

Can I just tell you that Scentsy would make an awesome gift for any girlfriend, college-aged daughter, mom, grandma, wife, sister, etc. You get the idea. Someone please tell hubby to get me more Scentsy when I start running low on these bars. I would love to get another warmer for upstairs too!     Oh…What a tough choice. I think it owuld have to be between the Boleyn or the Grapevine. If I HAD to choose, Boleyn first. Soooo pretty!!!

    I would pick the Palette Full size Scentsy warmer!! Love the variety of styles they have. My mother has one in her new house and it smells Awesome!!

    i like the Classic Purple Full-Size Scentsy Warmer and the Classic Satin Black Full-Size Scentsy Warmer as they would both go great in just about every room of my house.

    I like several of the full size warmers, but I think if I had to pick one I would go with the Boho Chic–I love the color and flower.

    They used to have a full sized Dolphin warmer that I used to love, but I don’t see it anywhere. So I guess my next choice would have to be either the Marines or Navy one.

    I would choose Jolly as my dad loves Santas and alot of his were destroyed in Superstorm Sandy. So if I could I would buy him one

    I’d LOVE to win this product. I’m always buying air sprays to freshen the bedroom since we share a small home with some friends and our baby stays with us in our room when we are sleeping- so a half days worth of diapers can get stinky even with the diaper pail! I try not to use candles since the hazard with my small space is not worth the risk and I’ve wanted to try Scentsy for a while! What a perfect opportunity to try a scent from them and get a warmer, my pick would be Pumpkin Roll as I cannot resist pumpkin scents!
