Have a Stylish New Year: Affordable NYE Outfits For Every Style & Party

Christmas is done, and the year is starting to come to a close. So why not send it off with a bang?!? I love New Years Eve. I feel like it’s one last chance to get all dressed up and party for the holiday season. Whether I spend NYE at home with the kiddos or at a rockin’ NYE party, I love to get a little dressed up, and make the most of the night!

This year, I plan to enjoy a fun evening with friends, nothing too fancy, but exciting enough that I wanted to find fun NYE outfits to ring in 2015 in style! I decided to head to Kohls to find something to cute to wear, and found an amazing selection of outfits for all styles, ages and sizes all at affordable prices. To inspire you to have a stylish New Year, I decided to share my NYE outfit as well as some other great NYE finds from Kohls that work for any style and any kind of party!

NYE in NYC

Whether you are spending the night in the Big Apple, or just watching it from TV I thought this city skyline little black dress was adorable (Elie Tahari for DesigNation NYC Skyline Fit and Flare Dress on sale for $42.00). Pair it with these SO embellished dress heals (on clearance for $17.99) for a Manhattan ready ensemble.

Classy Yet Casual

Watching fireworks at your nearest city or a crazy night of playing Twister with friends? If you are planning on lots of walking or activities this NYE, you may want a casual outfit that lets you stay on the go till midnight! This fun outfit has the shimmer and glamor you want on NYE but is comfortable enough for an active night. This Thermal Dolman Top (on sale for 12.99) has a fun touch of sparkle that makes it perfect for NYE. Pair it with some cute “Wallflower Rhinestone Bootcut Jeans” and these fun “Gotta Flurt Pizazz Women’s Sequin Sneakers” for a casual yet classy outfit.

Dancing All Night

If you plan to spend NYE out on the dance floor, you are going to want an outfit that looks stunning, but let’s you move. This is the outfit that I picked for my evening NYE party! It’s the perfect outfit for a simple party with friends… Not too dressy, but stylish enough to get me noticed! I picked the Slubbed Open Front Cardigan from Sonoma life + style (on sale for $19.99) with Lee Slimming Twill Bootcut Pants (on sale for $34.99). To add a bit of sparkle to the outfit I added these cute embellished ballet flats from Simply Vera Wang (on sale for $38.99). I also plan to add this cute gray infinity scarf that I picked up at Kohls to add some flair to the outfit.

Midnight Kisser

I wanted to help a friend find an outfit that will get him noticed for a midnight kiss, so I took him to the men’s department at Kohls. I found this Marc Anthony Slim-fit Tattersall stripped button-down shirt for him (on sale for $29.99).

I told him to pair it with a Modern-fit Merino v-neck sweater for apt 9 (on sale for $24.99) and a classic pair of Levi’s 501 jeans. This stylish yet classic look is perfect for making your favorite guy look even more kissable at midnight!

Fun & Games

Because I also wanted the kiddos to have a Happy New Year, I headed to the toy department to pick up a couple new board games for them to enjoy a game night with a babysitter. I also grabbed a new throw for them to curl up on the couch with a movie and some popcorn freshly popped from the West Blend Air Crazy Popcorn Popper that I also picked up from Kohls. With these fun NYE necessities they are sure to have a great night!
