Autumn Trail Mix – Best Trail Mix Ever

Autumn Trail Mix

I discovered what I deem to be the best Trail Mix Ever! Okay – my mom discovered it first, from Make-Bake-Celebrate, but I shopped for it and created it! This Autumn Trail Mix is da’ bomb! I love the combination of crunchy maple cereals, salty peanuts, and sweet chewy caramel bits. I am not a big fan of candy corn, but with this recipe/mix calling for the caramel and caramel apple candy corns, I am in love! My kids absolutely love this mixture of goodness as well.

The ingredients you will need are:

Life Cereal
Brown Sugar Quaker Squares
Peanuts
Caramel Bits
Fall Candy Corn (Caramel and Caramel Apple)
Fall M&M’s
Dehydrated Apples (optional – if you can find them)
Peanut Butter Chips (I used a bag that had peanut butter and milk chocolate chips)

Once you have combined all of your ingredients, you can serve as is, or place into cute goodie bags. Make-Bake-Celebrate has a free printable tag that says Happy Fall Y’all. Attach to goodie bags, for a fun party favor or gift. The long skinny bags can be found in the wedding or cake aisles at Walmart, or craft stores.

  • This looks yummy and easy to make! I’m always looking for new snack ideas for the kids and I think this one would be great for the kids & adults! Score!

  • This is such a cute idea. Im thinking of doing a version of this for my October wedding. Can you tell me roughly how many packets it makes? Also, do you know how long it stays fresh? Thanks!

  • What a fun idea Tonya!! I hope your wedding is just beautiful! Freshness will partially depend on what you are storing it in, as will the packet size. This made a big batch that fit in my largest serving bowl. The cereal is the only thing I’d worry about freshness wise, and it should be fine if it’s in something sealed.

  • Emily ,
Can you tell me how much this makes, approximately what the ingredients cost you, and if it’s considered healthy.
It sounds really good I’m making it for a wedding shower & the couple are backpackers . (I.e. which is my reason for asking, because I’ll be making it for about 50.) Thank you!
