Review of Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort

by Emily Buys 8 Comments

Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort

As part of my 10 year anniversary trip to Southern California, with the hubs, we decided to make a trip to Disneyland – WITHOUT THE KIDS!! I will be posting more about that experience a bit later, but for now, I wanted to share my review of the Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort in Anaheim, California.  Our stay was very comfortable, and we were treated very well.

The pillows and bed were very soft and comfortable, and the bathroom and bedroom were really clean. Very important factors when selecting a hotel, right? They even had a bathrobe to use after taking a warm shower. The Crowne Plaza offers valet parking, where the valets park your car nice and close, which makes for quick retrieval when you are ready to depart.

Whenever I visit Disneyland, I cannot tell you how much I agonize over selecting the perfect hotel! It is such a tough thing to do when taking into account, location, cost, luxury, etc. What I loved about the Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort is that it is DIRECTLY across the street from Target, and near 4 great restaurants. The night we arrived to the hotel, we walked over to Outback Steakhouse for some dinner. We took advantage of a trip or two to Target as well. This location puts you a bit farther from Disney, which would make for a long walk. However, there is a fabulous shuttle that departs every half an hour throughout the day. This is super handy so you can head back to the hotel for naps, resting, meals, etc. The only downfall is that you do risk having to wait around for the shuttle, depending on what time you show up at the shuttle stop. Luckily there are a lot of benches so you can sit and rest your feet while you wait.

When we got back to our room after dinner that first night, we were surprised with two complimentary breakfast buffet coupons. We were very excited to take advantage of these because I love a good breakfast buffet. Breakfast was held in a large in-hotel restaurant, which was beautiful, and very spacious. They had bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit & the best bread pudding I have had in a long time.

We spent two nights at the Crowne Plaza, and after our long day at Disneyland we came back to our room to find white chocolate covered strawberries and a fruit basket to celebrate our anniversary. This was a very nice touch, that we both enjoyed!

My husband even got to use their workout room. It had treadmills, free weights, weight machines, and a TV to entertain. Just outside the lobby was their hot tub and swimming pool. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to use those amenities, but I’m sure they were great.

Our stay with the Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort made for a very enjoyable and worry-free Disney trip. Being so close to shopping and restaurants, and a shuttle to take care of the other work, it was mighty nice!

I was provided with one complimentary night at the Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort as part of a contest I won, and an additional night to facilitate my review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Wow – it looks like a lovely option when visiting Disneyland. After a long day of being in the happiest place on earth, it must be nice to come back to a nice hotel to rest a rejuvenate. Thanks for the helpful info.

Looks gorgeous! We live only 15 minutes from Disneyland, but if we ever did decide to just get a room instead of going home, I’d definitely pick this place!
