I am happy to report that during Nutrisystem Week 3, I had some success. I did not have a lot of success, which is a little disappointing to me, but I will take what I can get. I realize that maintaining can be a very good thing, but I really want to shed these pounds! I did in fact have a weight loss this week – albeit, a small amount, but .4 lbs gone is .4 lbs gone! There are some things that I decided this week, that I am hoping will help me on my journey.
Toward the end of week 3, I concluded that I have got to up my exercise if I want to be successful at this weight loss thing. Dropping weight is not an easy thing for me or my body, but I have done it time and time again. All of those times that I have been successful is when I really exercise! Now that the kids are in school, and it’s just me and little “b” at home, I have to get this done! I was a good girl and did the treadmill this morning, and it felt great! I felt so accomplished, and had more energy for the day. I am hoping to stick to these workouts and hope to see more success.
The other realization I came to – which is more of a reminder than anything else, is that I can’t deprive myself. If I tell myself, “no, you can’t have that,” I go kind of crazy and almost rebel! I need to give myself allowances here and there, to maybe have a little treat, or the occasional dining out experience. I just need to make healthier choices when I do it, but also to maybe cut back during my other meals. I will be a happier me if I don’t feel deprived.
I am feeling pumped and motivated for a more successful week. I have got to get below 170 this week! I should come up with a reward or something. Any suggestions?

I am using a different program where technically nothing is off limits, but if you really want something that you know you shouldn’t have, go ahead & have it but make it before 3pm and drink lots & lots of water throughout the day. I found a dark chocolate candy bar that I really like, it’s one of the big ones that has like 8 squares. I allow myself one square after lunch if I really want it & really savor it by taking small bites and enjoying it’s yumminess. i have gotten to where I really like fruit with whipped cream which I make in one of the whip cream whippers w/ 1/4 cup of flavored creamer & 1 3/4 c whipping cream (mine holds a pint) and it gives it just a small amount of sweetness, but it’s all it needs. Recently I’ve been using the Bailey’s Sweet Cream Creamer, yummy!

I love a new lipstick as a reward. I’m beginning a different program next week. My product has shipped. I”m looking forward to the free health coach that comes with the program. Good luck this week!

Well, if it were me getting a reward, I would probably buy myself a new book for my Kindle. 🙂 Or maybe a new outfit. Once you start shedding the pounds more rapidly (and I know you will), buying new clothes in smaller sizes that will now fit you is a terrific reward. I also like Dana’s lipstick idea; I used to buy new sticks or glosses all of the time when I needed a pick me up.
The other important thing is to make sure that you are getting enough sleep, too. And definitely enough water!! I have a friend who drinks a huge container of water right when she wakes up. That gets her started for the day. I have always struggled on my #NSNation journey with getting enough water.
It sounds like you are doing great with the exercise, though; sure wish I had the motivation that you do to get it done!
