Xbox 360 Kinect Games for Everyone (4 Winners)

Xbox 360 Kinect Games for Everyone

The next feature in my 2012 Holiday Gift Guide, is something that can entertain the entire family. I really wish I could say that I am giving away an Xbox 360 with Kinect, but as hard as I tried, I just couldn’t make it happen this year. Perhaps next year though. Can I just tell you how great I think the Kinect is? I absolutely love that it gets everyone up off of the couch, and get moving. You may not move a lot in some of the games, but at least you’re not loafing on the couch. Whenever I get up and play with the kids, we have so much fun, and have lots of laughs.

I am giving away 4 different Xbox 360 Kinect Games – one game to four different winners. Let me tell you a bit about each one, and where you can purchase it.

Kinect Sports is rated E 10+, but my older boys, who are 7 and 9 (almost) have fun with this one. Since this game has come out, there has been a second version released, but sometimes it’s nice to go back to the originals that started all of the magic. A previous winner of a Parent’s Choice award, this game is one to get the kids off the couch and moving even in the gloomy winter weather. Perfect for this time of year right? This game has nearly a 5 star rating on Amazon, from 431 customer reviews. The game only costs $19.99, which is quite the deal.

Because many of the games in Kinect Sports include throwing and kicking, be sure to have lots of room! You don’t want anyone kicking the coffee table (ouch)! I personally love bowling games, which Kinect Sports has! Kinect Sports might be a great way to let the kids try all of the sports out, to see which one is for them – in the real world!

Let me start with Kinectimals by saying that it is on sale on Amazon for just $13.33! Such a great time to buy if you don’t win. Kinectimals is also a former winner of the Parent’s Choice gold award and a hit for the youngest gamers in your household. There is a sequel to this game as well, “Kinectimals Now With Bears”. What I love about Kinectimals is that you get to build relationships with some of the world’s most wild animals. Just like with real pets, these animals come running toward you when they hear the sound of your voice! How cool is that? You can also train these pets to roll over, jump, and play dead. A really cute part of the game is that the animals will even purr when you scratch behind their ears. So if you have an animal lover, they should love this game!

Kinect: Disneyland Adventures is yet  another Parent’s Choice Gold Award winner. Love Disneyland, or have kids who do? This game is sure to bring the magic of Disneyland into your living room letting your kids explore the park through the magic of Kinect. I personally love Disneyland and love being able to explore the park, as if I’m there. This game is currently selling for $21.34 on Amazon. You can explore the attractions, by interacting with the rides. For example, you can sword fight alongside Peter Pan, against the fierce Captain Hook. The graphics on this game are simply amazing.

The last game to share in this gift guide feature is Kinect Rush: A Disney·Pixar Adventure. This game Rated E for Everyone , and my kids LOVE this game! Kinect Rush was recently recognized with Silver Honors in the Parent’s Choice Awards Video Game category and received The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval for Fall 2012. Kinect Rush is selling at $48.99 on Amazon. I haven’t personally played this game yet, but that’s because anytime we put it in, my kids completely take it over. Their favorite game among the Disney·Pixar set of games, is with The Incredibles. This game gets the kids really moving, as they race to save the day! They can choose from 5 of the popular movies, and pick games that are based around those movies. I know that some games based on movies are not so fun, but these are different. So much fun!

Now for the giveaway. I will be giving away one of each of these 4 games, to 4 different readers. I will try to accommodate everyone’s first choice, but if everyone wants the same game, that might be tough. So on the giveaway form, I will ask you to number in order, which games you want to win. If there is one you don’t care to own at all, then don’t include it in your list.

I want to make sure everyone has their games by Christmas, so this giveaway will end at 11:59pm PST on 12/16. Start by entering your name and email below, then answer the questions for extra entries.
