When I heard that a new Spider-Man movie was being made, I have to admit that I was a little nervous. I am a big fan of Emma Stone so I knew I would see the movie regardless. I was happy I chose to see The Amazing Spider-Man because I really enjoyed the film. Andrew Garfield surprised me, and Emma Stone was fantastic as usual. A couple of weeks ago I learned that you can pre-purchase The Amazing Spider-Man for an early digital copy, and a hard copy to come in the mail once the movie is officially released. I was curious enough to see how this works, because the hubs and I enjoyed the movie so much.
I went to Walmart and spotted an end cap with boxes to pre-purchase The Amazing Spider-Man DVD or Blu-Ray. These were easy to find as they were at the front of the electronics section in my store. Be prepared for the box to feel very light, as there is not an actual disc in the case. I purchased the box and brought it home to see what I needed to do. In place of the disc is a lightweight cardboard version of a disc, with instructions on how to redeem the early digital copy of The Amazing Spider-Man.
While I was in Walmart, I even noticed a VUDU sign, which I thought was coincidental since VUDU.com is where you need to go to get your digital copy of The Amazing Spider-Man. I already had an account with VUDU, but I have only used it a couple of times. I loved the reminder on this sign, that you can go online and get free movies!
Once I got home, I visited the VUDU site and enter a redemption code from inside my pre-purchase box. Once I entered my redemption code, it asked me to login to my VUDU account, or to create an account. I logged into my existing account and selected my shipping address, to have the hard copy mail to, when the release date comes.
After assigning a shipping address, I arrived on a Congratulations page. That’s all I had to do to get a copy by mail, and even better – receive a digital copy of The Amazing Spider-Man early! I was given the option to go straight to my movie, which I did, for some special featurettes.
Watching the deleted scenes and stunt rehearsals has me even more excited to see the movie again. I’m thinking a party for The Amazing Spider-Man movie release is in order.

My son loved this in the theatre and has been begging to see it again! And with all the perks you just showed, I’m inclined to let him! I didn’t know pre-ordering had so many benefits!
