The Amazing Spider-Man Vudu Viewing Party
A month ago, I shared with you my experience of shopping at Walmart to pre-order The Amazing Spider-Man on DVD. I hadn’t ever done a of pre-purchased movie before, but it was really quite cool because this pre-purchase came with an early digital release of The Amazing Spider-Man. For the past few weeks I have been anxiously waiting for October 30th to roll around, so I could watch The Amazing Spider-Man on Vudu.
The newest Spider-Man movie doesn’t officially release on DVD until November 9th, but by making the pre-purchase, I was able to reserve a digital copy on Vudu. I got a group of family friends together last night, to eat pizza, popcorn, and Fall treats, while watching The Amazing Spider-Man. I saw the movie in theaters with hubby, but it seems so long ago that I had forgotten a few things. I love Emma Stone, and thought Andrew Garfield did an “Amazing” job!
To get in the Spider-Man mood, I headed back to Walmart to purchase a couple of Marketside Pizzas, for the occasion. I am loving how Marketside Pizzas keep getting special movie themed pictures on their pizza boxes. Not only did our pizza boxes have a Spider-Man and The Lizard on them, but they also have Augmented Reality triggers! Simple download the Web-Slinger app, and scan the special image on the pizza boxes for special Amazing Spider-Man experiences on your iPhone, iPad or Android in-store. When The Avengers came out, Marketside Pizza did something similar with the Augmented Reality app and triggers. These really are kind of cool, and the kids love it, so try it out next time you’re at Walmart!
I decided to host the Spider-Man viewing party at a friends’ house instead of mine, this time. I brought the pizzas, some mini cupcakes and Pumpkin Tarts, and we were set for a great time. The evening started off with a bang, with my friends’ kids performing a little play for us. They were just adorable!
After the play, the adults headed into the family room for the viewing of The Amazing Spider-Man, while the kids bundled up with blankets and popcorn, and watched Madagascar 3.
While the pizza was cooking, we decided to dive into the treats!
A few of us saw The Amazing Spider-Man in theaters, but the other half hadn’t seen it yet. We dished up some pizza and treats and enjoyed the show! After a while, the little ones started to conk out, but dad was still finishing that movie! It doesn’t take long for things to get exciting!!
